IMS Receives National Service Award from AORN

The Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) presented its 2013 Jerry G. Peers Distinguished Service Award to IMS at AORN Congress in San Diego. IMS Named a "Best Place to Work"

Based on a confidential survey completed by more than 200 Birmingham-based employees, IMS has three times been named one of Birmingham's "Best Places to Work" among companies with more than 250 employees.

IMS Named One of Birmingham's "Healthiest" Employers

IMS was recognized as one of Birmingham, Ala.'s Healthiest Employers by the Birmingham Business Journal in 2010, 2011 and 2012. IMS has established popular exercise, nutrition, and stress relief programs for employees in Birmingham and Ft. Lauderdale. IMS has more than 1,000 employees nationwide, with approximately 300 in Birmingham and 100 in Ft. Lauderdale.

IMS Designated as Green Business

The Birmingham Business Alliance has identified IMS as a Green Business. This designation was based on IMS' demonstrated commitment to environmentally safe and sustainable business practices and operations and its commitment to ensuring that the greater Birmingham region is environmentally healthy and viable.

Robinson Named CEO of Year

The Birmingham Business Journal on June 22, 2010 named IMS CEO Gene Robinson Birmingham's Top CEO for companies that have between 100 and 750 employees.

IMS CEO Recognized as "Healthcare Hero"

Gene Robinson, CEO of IMS, was named a finalist for the Birmingham Business Journal's annual Healthcare Heroes award. In an article published on Oct. 16, 2009, the newspaper cited Robinson's use of IMS' business focus - refurbishing surgical instruments - to aid the needy. "He is obviously a very bright businessman, but he is also somebody who is led by compassion," said Gary Stephens, an executive with Mercy Ships. Mercy Ships, whose hospital ship treats the medically underserved in Africa, is one of the organizations that has benefited from Instruments of Mercy, a charity Robinson founded to restore surgical instruments for medical mission teams.

IMS Receives 2008 Best of Homewood Award

June 13, 2008 - (Birmingham, AL) - IMS® has been selected for the 2008 Best of Homewood Award in the Doctors Equipment & Supplies category by the U.S. Local Business Association (USLBA).

The USLBA "Best of Local Business" Award Program recognizes outstanding local businesses throughout the country.
