The new Operations Center and Corporate Headquarters, at 3316 2nd Avenue North, is the centerpiece of a 15-acre campus IMS is developing. The facility houses repair for flexible endoscopes as well as stainless, laparoscopic and specialty instruments. Rigid endoscopes and surgical power, video, ophthalmic and robotic devices continue to be refurbished at Surgical Optics, the IMS research, development and repair facility near Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
IMS has more than 1,200 employees nationwide, including more than 400 working in the Birmingham area.
